From Classrooms to Canines

My background started in education, where I spent over a decade working in behavior-focused environments and special education classrooms. That experience shaped how I understand learning, communication, and behavior change — skills that translate directly into dog training.

I’ve always been drawn to understanding why behavior happens, not just how to stop it. That perspective led me into dog training, where I now focus on helping owners and dogs communicate more effectively through structured, real-world training systems.

My approach is built around clarity, consistency, and real-life application — because training only matters if it works outside of the training environment.

​

​During my time as a Lee County educator, I developed a therapy dog reading program called All Ears.  I have brought this program to multiple schools, but check out this video created by Lee County School District about where it all began.

With the All Ears program, I’ve seen firsthand how dogs can support confidence, focus, and emotional connection in learning environments. Dogs have a unique way of meeting people exactly where they are — sometimes even bringing out a sense of calm, joy, or that “inner child” we all need to reconnect with, especially during stressful or overwhelming moments.
