With a background in education and behavior focused experience, I help dogs and their owners build clarity and consistency in real-world situations. My approach is centered on clear communication and understanding behavior, not just correcting it, so both ends of the leash can work together more effectively.

 

I also believe in the powerful role dogs can play within the community including therapy work in schools and other organizations, where they offer comfort, connection, and moments of calm when they’re needed most.

Ranger's Remarkable Revival

Tara came to our rescue with a re-homed male, very reactive Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix.  She was incredibly patient in helping Ranger and I figure out how to work together to help him adapt to a new life and be more comfortable in the world.  Her freely shared knowledge, suggestions, tips on gear, treats, and problems with other dogs were spot on every time.  Ranger is now a happy, confident dog, well-integrated in our family and our neighborhood.
